Sometimes The Tower can indicate a disaster lurking around the corner. Fortunately, I don't see that for us this month. What I do see is incredible invigorating energy that makes us ambitious and courageous about what we want to do next. With this card, our creativity is pushing us to take action. We simply cannot deny this kick in the pants! Forward motion is inevitable with this greater awareness of new visions as something languishing on the back burner is suddenly ready to come front and center.

towerIn addition to this explosion of energy, some structures and patterns in your life will change. I don't mean the house is going to fall down, I'm talking social structures and norms that have been in place in your life for a while. There will be an opportunity to cast off burdensome obstacles or responsibilities, which in turn will release tension and free the spirit from limiting circumstances.

This month is going to provide a long over-due opportunity for personal growth and progress. Self-assertion and self-motivation will push you to MOVE. Therefore, experiment with new living conditions (rearrange the furniture, paint the walls), ideas, and personal appearance (new hair, make-up, clothing styles). Just because the year is on the wane, it doesn't mean we should begin hibernating now. There's simply too much pumpkin spice stuff we have to incorporate into our lives!

Happy October everyone!

Two cards came into my fingers this time around and they combine into a pretty exciting prophesy for the month of September!

The Seven of Cups represents fantasy and wishful thinking. After all, we cannot invent new things, make plans for the future, or create change in our lives until we conceive the idea in our imaginations. This purposeful dreaming is the first steps to the “different than what is now” that we’re looking for. Because EVERYthing is possible in our own imaginations, you’ll need to apply logic, deliberation, and intelligence (granted in abundance by this card) to discern what is actually a viable option and what is merely a pipe dream. These decisions are going to be complicated, so be patient, and be honest with yourself—unrealistic attitudes will only lead you astray.

The World is basically your “thumbs up” validation that you can do this! This card offers even more potential for total realization, expansion, fulfillment, and accomplishment. The special quality of this card allows you to see the big picture made up of all the little, seemingly random, pieces. You’ll be able to integrate the various parts to create your unique whole through practical use of your current knowledge. The World is assuring you that you’re in the right place at the right time, with everything you need, to manifest your dreams. Click to Tweet

kgsurxThe king chosen for this month's card represents mature, action-oriented energy. As in, he knows what he wants and how to get it. The card's suit signifies intellectual activity and analysis. You may be driven by bright ideas and know exactly how to make them happen. You won't see any obstacles to getting funding or approval for your project because you've looked at it from every angle and see a clear path forward.

Unfortunately, this single-minded approach to your goal can make you impatient and overbearing. You will need to deal with others along your way, but they'll seem so slow and stupid. Be aware of their feelings. Also, be aware of your own feelings! You may be perfectly nice to everyone else but hold yourself to impossible standards. You can be just as (if not more so) hypercritical and unforgiving of yourself as you can be of others.

Therefore, it's vital that you make time to relax your mind by doing something with your body--but perhaps not solitary exercise such as running, biking, or swimming. But, but, but...you do your best thinking on your run/swim/bike ride! That's my point; a rousing game of volleyball will have you concentrating on the ball and your fellow players and not on what's going through your head. Read a book, go to a movie, play fetch with your dog, or anything to get out of your head. This month's mental energy is going to be unrelenting and intense, and therefore you'll need to balance your overactive mind with other activities. Click to Tweet

Annette Noyes TarotJuly 2018

5 of pentacles - reversed
In Tarot Land, 5's represent change; the suit of Pentacles represents the physical plane, which includes business, your physical body, money, house, and all the other nuts and bolts of actual physical life.

We've come to a turning point on the material plane, and it's time to make some changes to better facilitate any new possibilities. In fact, opportunities that have thus far been hidden suddenly become available to you. For example, you may have the chance to cross-train or take advantage of a seminar that will advance your career. But to take part, you're going to need someone to watch the kids in the evening. A new car loan may be granted; now you have to rearrange your budget to cover the loan payments. Look for the "OOO! I wanna do that!" moments and then make space for them in your life. You'll be required to take a different approach to get things to work for you. Tried and true methods are no longer possible. Suck it up and adjust...besides, the new methods will probably be better in the long run. Believe it or not, relationships with colleagues, family, friends, etc. will improve as you reorder your life and accept new dynamic energy. That's because when you're at your best, you're happier. A happy camper is more attractive to others, and therefore, fun is had by all!

Nine of Cups, reversed (that means upside down, not a "bad thing" simply a change of energies):

Nines, generally speaking, represent completing a big project or endeavor. Examples of that would be graduating high school, college, a training program, military basic training, etc. You may be coming to the end of setting up a new business or have just bought a house after long searches and endless paper work. But even though you've worked very hard for something, and the end to all that toil is near, it's not time to rest on your laurels and coast. "Complacency" is the big message of this reversed Nine of Cups, and I want to stress that we don't want to park it with our feet up just yet.

There's more work to be done before it's Miller Time. In fact, through more hard work, something may come to light...a "D'oh!" moment where something you thought was settled turns out not to be. Maybe your new computer networking system goes down, or the gently used restaurant cooler you got for half price blows a gasket.

You're also going to figure out who your real friends are, and who are just beer buddies. Not that beer buddies have no place in our lives. They're great! But when you need real help, they're not the type to help you move houses in July. Into a building with no elevator. And you picked a fourth floor apartment.... Did you mention your brick collection?

Happy May all!
