Why Herbalism?

Dandilion FlowerTired of relying entirely on over-the-counter drugs and creams?  Looking for a more natural and more spiritual approach to better health?  Do you want more control over what’s going into your body?

Herbalism uses crude plant material such as leaves, flowers, fruit, seed, stems, wood, bark, roots or other plant parts to create supplements for your well-being.

What is Herbalism:

Herbalism is the study of the use of medicinal plants, which are a basis of traditional medicine.

The term herbalism refers to the long historical use of natural, organic medicines to support the healing functions of the body. Because of the long tradition of using botanicals to promote health, the use of herbs is well established and widely acknowledged to be safe and effective.

Herbalists come in many varieties: practitioners, growers, medicine-makers, manufacturers and/or teachers. Whatever path an herbalist chooses, he or she retains a core belief in the power of plants and a love of nature and the environment.

About the classes:

plumblossomThe Herbal Ally Way classes are the key to mastering the art of herbalism through understanding your plants in-depth so that you get real results. With this depth of knowledge about the plants you work with, you'll effectively heal yourself and those you love.

In this series of classes, we will focus on one herb each month. Recipes made with the herb, preparing the herb medicinally, Plant Meditations, Group Study and Journaling in your own Materia Medica Journal.

For each class you will attend, handouts and study guides will be emailed to you to bring to the class.

Our goal is that these classes will be a starting point for you to begin exploring herbs on your own and bring some of the beauty, health and magic of the plants into your life.

Jim Sayers

Jim SayersMy work as an Herbalist blossomed from my own experience with chronic illness in my family and how conventional medicine failed them miserably. I have been studying Herbalism for over twenty-five years and have focused my studies on Herbalism through Dr. Christopher's School of Natural Healing, Everglades University and of course my own passion for true spiritual ally-ship with the Herbs themselves.

It is your legacy to come to know the sacred language of plants as Herbal Allies for mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. Whether you’re struggling with chronic stress, blood sugar issues, digestive complaints, autoimmunity and more – you deserve to have support on your healing journey from someone who understands what you’re going through. A practitioner who trusts and honors your body’s inherent intelligence and ability to heal itself.

In our work together, I serve as your guide to the plant realm – guiding you one-on-one through your own healing path using The Herbal Ally Way™️ approach to help you experience true vitality and wellness every day.

In addition to my herbal studies, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Alternative Medicine with two years of Nutrition education, certified as a Nutritional Consultant and many other continuing education credits and certifications related to my field.
