In this workshop, participants will learn about what some research studies are showing in regards to the healing effects of the outdoors. Becoming more fully present in nature means disconnecting with the stressors in our lives and reconnecting with the true world around us. As we learn to become more mindful of nature with consistency, we begin to feel more gratitude and appreciation not only while outside, but also from within. Learn how you can bring certain tools and self-reflective prompts into the practice of being at one with nature so you crave more of it in on a daily basis.
Teaching points: Participants will:
1) be familiar with neuroplasticity and how our brain changes when we expose ourselves to nature on a consistent basis.
2) learn techniques and tools to help us become more mindful when in nature.
3) understand how we can become less stressed, less reactive, and more resilient and joyful when intentionally connecting with nature.
