Sinus Difficulties 2 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 1
For the last few weeks, I've been having a major difficulty with my sinuses.

At first I thought it was allergies...which part of it may have been...since 'tis the season and all...but then it went into a full blown cold.

I took the zinc and the echinecea/goldenseal but with minimal help and had to progress to Muscinex which did help emmensely for a while.

Now I am still experiencing sinus problems which is probably a sinus infection, causing my face and even my teeth to hurt. I backk off of the above mentioned items and am currently taking only sudefed products but am still experiencing problems. I even did the neti pot to wash out the sinuses. Maybe it takes several uses to work properly but there was not much difference last night. I ended up getting some relief by laying with a cold compress over the painful sinuses.

Going to a doctor is not possible for financial reasons amongst other reasons at this time.

Anyone know if there is something else holistic which I can get that would help? Or some other over-the-counter product which would break this up?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Sometimes free radicals in our body can cause massive inflammation in the sinus cavities. Seems seasonal change can sometimes make this effect go haywire... you may want to try a enzyme that many have found helpful. The name of this product is Serraflazyme.
Hope you feel better soon : )

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll have to look for it.

It's a bit better but does still flare up a little.

There is a warning or head's up I need to pass on to others who may be experiencing the same thing or have used the over the counter remedies for colds/flu.

It may help to take some acidopholus on a daily basis to avoid having urinary problems once most of the cold/flu has passed.

Those commercials for the yogurt for digestion may be on to something...and not just for digestion. It should be helpful for the urinary difficulties as well.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Blessings and good health to all,
Tammie

I had sinus trouble myself recently, and I found that this little remedy (given to me by my wife) helped quite a bit (more than any over-the-counter remedies):
